Google Webmaster Guidelines update “Low Quality Guest Blog Post” a spam!

Google has considered low quality guest blogging as “little or no original content”. Recently, Google has updated their webmaster guidelines, particularly in the little or scraped content, adding on “low-quality guest blog posts as a great example of “scraped content”. Brian Ussery first spotted, how Google has been struggling with the use of guest blogging and posting around link building. Particularly, when Google’s head of search spam explicitly explain that the guest blogging is done for SEO purpose, since then, Google has castigated many guest blog networks and continues setting their own targets emphasizing on low-quality guest blogging that aspires at manipulating their search results.

In previous guidelines, Google has some guidelines that don’t add substantial value to the users have been changed in order to improve the site’s ranking in Google search results by scraping out the cookie cutter pages and contents from the site. Google make sure that the site is full of rich information that adds substantial value to the users, including relevant keywords, aptly used, that clear the subject matter of the content. Google take action against those domains that try hard to rank more highly by presenting scraped or other cookie-cutter pages, including

• Autogenerated content
• Doorway pages
• Scraped content, and
• Thin affiliate sites

There are many SEOs that have been using scraped content and sharing the contents that have taken from other sources on the site. Google will take action against those domains that has high ranking due to scraped or other cookie-cutter pages.
